Well, I don’t know about that. Yes it’s New Year’s Eve, the time when all things look bright and possible:
That 10 pound weight loss (it’s baby weight of course. Of course my “baby” is now 15, but….)
The resolution that as soon as my laundry is done I will put it all away
I will clean out my closet of all those clothes I haven’t worn for the past 5 years
I won’t be buying anymore black pants (yeah, right, why do I even bother with that one)
I really have enough bags and shoes (ummm see above post)
But I do have a few resolutions I will keep. this Iknow.
I will not push my writng to comply with a false need to put something, anything to paper (or screen)
I will find myself an editor and a critique partner who gets what I am writing about
I will go to conferences and classes to improve myself
I will take criticism as helpful when it is just that, and ignore those who don’t and won’t get it
I will finish what I start
I will continue to be the best possible friend I can be
What are your resolutions? Pour the coffee, pour the wine and tell me!

My goal for next year is to get 3 books published. Given how slow publication moves, its a stretch. but that’s my goal.

My goal for this year is to edit the two books I’ve yet to do and write and edit the last two books of the series I sold by June. My resolutions are to stay off social media until mid-afternoon so that I can reach said goal. Lose the rest of the weight I gained when I started writing, not kill my husband before he gets a job down here, sell the rest of the books in the series and the next series, and improve my craft.

I think my only goal is to finish my book. So close, but yet so far away.
And I think you have great goals, Nancy. Happy New Year to you.
